About Us

Sholem Aleichem College Community Education Centre (SACCEC) is a dedicated and specialised education centre, focused on providing Yiddish education to adults, and high school students of Melbourne. It was established to fulfill the dream of offering Yiddish education to high school students, bridging the gap between primary education and tertiary offerings. SACCEC’s trained and experienced Yiddish language teachers use cutting edge teaching materials and best-practice methods to deliver high quality Yiddish education that supports optimal learning outcomes.

VET (Yiddish)

10949NAT Certificate II in Applied Language and 11074NAT Certificate III in Applied Language for school students. The VET program and qualification are provided by the Ripponlea Institute (RTO 21230) in partnership with SACCEC. 

  • Face to face onsite

  • A total of 2 years to complete (one year per certificate)

  • Subject fee is $380 per term, students are required to purchase and provide their own stationery and laptop

  • ​The successful completion of the 10949NAT Certificate II in Applied Language is a prerequisite for enrolment into the 11074NAT Certificate III in Applied Language. Ripponlea Institute (RTO 21230) requires that students undertaking the Certificate II in Applied Language have previously studied the target language for at least one year. 

  • Enrolment does not guarantee qualification. Only upon successful completion of assessment requirements, will students be issued with statements of completion.
